Prom!

Prom!

Okay so sorry I haven’t been posting a lot lately, but I’ve been getting ready for and partying at prom! So to make it up, here’s a big post about how a prepped and what happened!

The day before...

So this day I spent relaxing and reading, so I had no acne or dark circles from stress, etc. ( I must say my skin was looking really good on the day ).

I also practiced my makeup and arranged it ready for the next day.
Here's how it looked!

I had a nice hot bubble bath and made sure to shampoo and condition my hair a LOT so it looked really nice condition. When I got out the bath I treated my skin with a generous amount of moisturiser and used lovely smelling body butter <3, especially my favourite strawberry smelling one! Also, I plucked my brows and put lip balm on, to make putting my make up on easier.
My sister painted my nails in a colour to match my dress then I tried to get an early night (although I was up most of the time thinking about prom).

The next morning...

I did some yoga (focusing on butt, thighs and abs) then took a shower.  I used a cream on my skin that evens out skin tone and a little glitter in it to make your skin look more flawless and better in pictures. I put on my favourite perfume and had a big lunch as I wasn’t going to be eating any dinner.

I got my hair done by my friend who does hair dressing and it was beautiful! She did an amazing job even though my hair didn’t want to co-operate xD. (See picture on right).

When I got home, I did my makeup how I practiced and used false lashes for the first time! But I think I did an okay job! Once I was in my dress and had all my jewelry on we picked up my friend to go to the Bentley that took us to school.

This is how I looked when I had
finished putting it all together.

When we arrived...

Everyone turned up and one at a time our vehicle drove to the red carpet and we got pictures with our car and with the head mistress and previous head master.

Upon arrival we got a buck’s fizz and waited for everyone to arrive. We got pictures done in a professional photography set up (Which I've not been able to get my hands on yet, unfortunately) and went into the main hall where tables were set up with trays of food (Shhh, but I ate all the mini pizzas), so we ate while they announced some awards.

Of course I didn’t get any, but after prom king and queen were announced we got up and did some dancing! We took loads of pictures and took some pictures in a photo booth they had set up for us!

After a while, we had some ice cream from the ice cream van and enjoyed each other’s company, reliving some memories before going to dance again.
When it got to the end of the night, they called us outside for a fireworks display, which was absolutely beautiful! I’ve never seen such a big display in all my life, and the fireworks were so big, the little light that remained after the explosion surrounded is and it was so pretty! It honestly felt like something out of a film and I honestly felt so happy! Especially after recent changes in my life, I felt so full of love and happiness and as cheesy as this sounds, I felt like I could take on the world.
This night helped me realise what I really need in life to make me happy, which is to surround yourself with those who don’t judge you, love you for who you are and are happy to be in your company. Don’t care what people think. There’s one quote that I now live by, and it’s written on the walls of my bedroom.

Dance like no one is watching,
Love like you’ve never been hurt,
Sing like nobody’s listening,

Live like it’s heaven on Earth.

Makeup!

Makeup!

So today my mum and I went shopping, mainly to get me some pointe shoes, clothes for 6th form and to ensure I was all set for Prom (Which is this Friday! Woah!)
Tomorrow I may do a post on clothes you can wear to sixth form if I can get some good ideas together! Although today could have gone better because we could find any knee length dresses anywhere! Maybe because it's not school shopping season, but I was also feeling quite ill, so it was becoming a drag :(

Also I quite like how I did my make up today, so I thought I'd share how I did it with you!
It's quite a dark, yet sweet look and suited the cloudy weather.

  • I used a browny-copper colour on the outer v of my eye to create depth to my eyes.
  • I also used white eye shadow on the inner corners of my lids and along my brow bone to lighten my eyes and to add highlights.
  • I only used a thin line of liquid liner with a subtle flick to give the illusion of fuller longer lashes.
  • I added just a little eyeliner on my lower lash line to balance my eyes. I added mascara to my outer lashes to create natural yet giving the illusion that your eyes are bigger and seeming more innocent.
  • I did rounder brows with not so many harsh angles, to make them seem more child-like and innocent. I made the brows a tad darker to match the dark copper in my eye shadow.
  • To compliment the colours I used a dark red lip liner to fill my lips, especially focusing on the corners with a red lipstick. Making your cupids bow rounder will give a sweet and innocent feel.

To compliment this look I added a black headband with a side bow.
Thank you for reading and I hoped you liked my little make up tutorial <3

Super Sunday! #1

Super Sunday! #1

So today I started off with a cycle on the static bike to get my blood pumping.
I then worked through two workout videos (Here’s the links if you’d like to give them a go) –

I also made a little motivational playlist to listen to while I workout that I’ll be updating every now and then, so if you’d like to use it to, then here it is.

I then just did some stretches to improve my flexibility. Unfortunately, I find that straddle against a wall no longer stretches me, so I laid on my back and did straddle against the wall that way, letting gravity pull my legs down. At a push I can get my legs flat!

While I stretched I listened to calming music and read my book.
Next, I went onto my squats, I did my usual routine although I pushed myself to do 20 squats instead, now I feel definite that I can bump my usual routine up to 20 squats a time!

I think tomorrow there should be an update that’s not all about fitness as I’m going shopping with my mum, I’ll let you know what I get. Also, I have prom on Friday!! I’m both excited and half worried, but I’ll keep you posted <3

Getting In Shape Week 1!

Getting in shape Week 1! -

Starting off-

I intend to build on this routine, but I’m taking baby steps on working myself up.
So, I want to focus mainly on my butt for the upcoming summer, so I’ve been doing a squat routine when I wake up and this is what I started with-
  • 15 Ski Squats
  • 5 second break
  •  1 minute squat hold
  • 5 Second break
  • 15 Sumo Squats

I then take about a 1 minute break and repeat until I’ve done the routine 3 times.
Next week I'll be bumping it up to 20 squats!

I also wanted to practice my sit ups and planks so I started off with 30 sit ups and a 30 second long plank, and each day I’ll try to beat that! Hopefully this will work on my core a bit at the same time!

After this week I have noticed a little difference as my shorts that were once too tight now fit better than before ! Hopefully they will fit nicely soon!

New start New Me

New Start, New Me

So here I am

My name is Hannah and I'm 16 years old, nice to meet you!
This blog is going to be all about me and my lifestyle, and I hope it can help some of you out a long the way!

By the way, this is me--->

So I suppose this first post will be a bit of backstory about me, and the rest will be my journey from here. (So sorry, but this is going to be a long post :P)

So I finished my GCSE's yesterday! While studying for my exams I let myself go a bit, had no routine etc, so from now I'm trying to change that. I'm focusing on what I love now, trying to have a healthier and happier lifestyle (this has involved getting rid of negative friends that have pulled me down) and I must say it's working already! So this blog is to keep up with my progress and to help get me into a  routine.

My hobbies include, art, photography, modelling, beauty and dancing.
I have been dancing since I was 4 years old and I do street dance and ballet. I met my best friend, Carys at dance, and I've never been as close to someone before, she's been a big help! I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot about her! You should check her blog out too! http://justwatchmedothis.blogspot.co.uk/
We like to work on fitness and health together, but I must say she's much better than me :P
